Ford SYNC® Destinations App Reviews

I really like the concept of this app, and for the most part it works. But it relies on Bing for destination information. In the last 2 months, Sync Services has taken me way out of the way with incorrect directions. As soon as I switch on Google maps, it takes me right where I want to go. Time to update it and get the maps and routing working properly.

Even after staying on the phone for over an hour with Sync customer service it still will not work.

This app used to be ok. Now its useless!!! Have deleted it from my phone and gone back to my Tom Tom. I still like sync in my 2014 F150 for hands free phone. Fire or give the geek that screwed this app up a demotion!! :0(

Loved this with my 2013 escape! But....wont connect to my 2016 with sync 3....maybe an update would help? Really want to use this app! 5 stars before!!

Program is totally useless. Cant edit saved points, wont open contacts, simply useless. The only positive note is its easy to uninstall!

I log in then it says I dont have a Sync account so it has me log into my Sync, which I do have. The problem is it keeps asking the same thing, dont have account then log in over and over. It doesnt have anywhere to keep you logged in so I get no where.

I use this app mainly for the Vehicle Finder option. My cell phone, my car, and myself are usually in the same place so Ive been blissfully using this locator for about two years without being aware of this problem. Recently I was doing some housesitting and I left my car back at my place about two blocks away. Imagine my surprise when I checked the locator just for kicks, and it appeared that my car was right outside in the driveway of the house I was watching. I wanted to make sure I wasnt insane, so I looked outside and sure enough,no car. Also just to check, I went back to my place and there it was safe and sound where I left it. Ive had this experience about two more times so basically what this app is doing is tracking my phone, not my car. Which is not helpful when the option is called VEHICLE Finder. I know where I am. Ill be deleting this app because it just went from somewhat useful to completely worthless.

I talked with Ford customer suport and this application is not longer available for Sync basic system.

Stupidest app ever….all I ever do is sign in and then sign in again, and then again. Definitely something wrong. You would think that by now, that INRIX would have this fixed!

Downloaded app and tried it out for the first time and man was it a flop. Never ever turned off the street I was on and it continuously told me I had left the suggested route to my destination and wanted to know if I wanted to reroute yet I was on the road it told me to be on. I just hope that nothing else in my expedition is this unreliable!

It keeps asking me to sign in on every screen, acknowledging my sign in, then asking me to sign in, rendering the app useless.

Since upgrading to iOS 9 manage saved points does not work a sit should. When are you going to recompile this app using iOS 9 and release and update to fix all the bugs that now exist ? Product is now useless for me.

Absolutely awful app dont waste your time or battery life. I deleted it after 10 minutes

Id forgotten how useless this app was until I traveled again and went through endless cycles of email and password screens just be told the service was down and unable to function. Thank God there are numerous apps out there to get me where I need to go because this one definitely wont Ill be deleting it today

Doesnt work with my 2016 c-max. Disappointing, even though from the reviews it sounds like it barely works even if your car is capable to use it.

This app would be great, you log in, enter the location you need, send it to your vehicle, then drive off... But this doesnt work that way, sync uses your minutes/data to send the location of your car to some navigation computer that will run you through outdated maps on freeways that have been around for 40 years... Even Apple maps is better at routing and navigating than this app. Save yourself some money, dont renew your sync account!!! And this app doesnt work without an active account... Thanks for not letting me "remember where I parked" or remember my favorite locations without paying!!

This app is completely useless. It repeatedly tells me my login credentials are incorrect even though they arent.

This app is ok. You can sync it to your car and phone and search addresses and get directions downloaded to your car when you dont have maps installed in your car. BUT one thing I wish the app had was a list of routes you could choose from to get downloaded to your car instead of just trusting it and a map on your phone to see where your going like a gps. It has a safely feature where you cant use it while your car is in motion which is safe and all. It just gets annoying when you have your passenger try to put in a new location while your driving and it wont let you Bc your in motion. Overall, this app is average. In my opinion, it needs a map with a list of routes to choose from and can watch your progress. Also, a way for a pass anger to use it while in motion for me to give it a 5 star reporting.

This app wants to access my location even when Im not using my app. Why? Because that data is valuable for resale.

Have had this app ever since I went out on a limb and purchased a f150 (huge mistake) I think this app is the most useless app I have ever downloaded, at least dodge has a useful app for the cars and trucks. Will be trading in the f159 for another Cummins real soon.
